PawDrops is an artisanal pet wellness brand focused on providing high-quality, hemp-based CBD tinctures for dogs. The project involved designing a premium, mobile-first eCommerce platform that allows pet owners to learn about and purchase CBD products tailored to their pets' wellness needs.

The platform highlights PawDrops’ commitment to small-batch, THC-free, organic hemp products that support anxiety relief, pain management, and holistic pet care. Through intuitive design and thoughtful content, the platform aims to engage dog owners who prioritize natural remedies and holistic wellness.

Project Brief

PawDrops is a CBD-based holistic tincture oil for pets, aiming to improve their well-being and quality of life. The goal of this project was to design a mobile-first e-commerce site that addresses user pain points, educates pet owners about CBD, and provides a seamless shopping experience.

Research showed pet owners are open to CBD for their pets but lack brand loyalty due to effectiveness concerns. Many don’t know pet CBD is legal and sold online. Social media drives discovery, and users want fast checkout and clear pricing.

Our analysis of key competitors (VetCBD, Charlotte's Web CBD, Pet Releaf, Vybes) showed the value of education, disclaimers, and social proof. We addressed gaps by adding a CBD info page, subscription options, and fast checkout with PayPal and Apple Wallet.

Usability Testing & Iteration

We conducted usability tests with pet owners to validate our designs and gather feedback. Users appreciated lab certificates for product safety but found the education toggle feature unintuitive, leading to a redesign with a tabbed layout. Pricing visibility and fast checkout options like PayPal and Apple Wallet were key user preferences. Based on these findings, we improved the navigation structure, prioritized key information on the homepage, and simplified the checkout process to reduce friction.
